Use the subject line Correction and include:

  1. The link to the page
  2. What you think is wrong
  3. A link to the official source, if you have one

We check every report against official sources and fix confirmed errors. Our editorial policy explains how corrections work.

What we can't help with

We are not a law firm, a licensed immigration consultant or a government agency. We cannot:

  • Tell you which visa or program you should apply for
  • Review your documents or check your eligibility
  • Prepare or file applications
  • Check the status of your case
  • Speed up a government decision

Where to go instead:

  • Your case status or a government decision: contact the agency handling your file. In the US that is USCIS or the US embassy or consulate; in Canada, IRCC; in Mexico, INM or the Mexican consulate.
  • Advice on your situation: a licensed immigration attorney in the US, a lawyer or regulated Canadian immigration consultant (RCIC) in Canada, or a licensed lawyer in Mexico. See how to verify a lawyer or consultant.
  • Choosing a program: try our free pathway finder.

Beware of anyone pretending to be us

NorthAmericans.com does not sell visas, job offers or immigration services, and we do not charge readers anything. We will never:

  • Call you or message you on WhatsApp or social media to offer immigration help
  • Ask you to pay money, including fees for visas, forms or appointments
  • Ask for your passport, ID documents or government account passwords

If someone claiming to be from NorthAmericans.com does any of this, it is not us. Read our scam protection guide and forward the message to contact@northamericans.com.

What happens to your email

We use your email only to read and answer it and, for corrections, to keep a record of what we changed. We do not sell or share your address, and we do not add you to a mailing list. Please do not send passport scans, case numbers or other sensitive documents: we do not need them, and email is not a secure channel. Details are in our privacy policy.

When to expect a reply

We read every message. We cannot promise a reply time, and we give priority to correction reports about errors that could harm readers, such as a wrong deadline, fee or program status.
