NorthAmericans.com plans to build a network of licensed immigration professionals in the USA, Canada and Mexico, and later a way for readers to contact them. The network is not open yet. If you are licensed and in good standing, you can register your interest by emailing contact@northamericans.com.

What we are building
NorthAmericans.com is a free, independent library about legal immigration to the USA, Canada and Mexico. Many readers reach a point where general information is not enough and they need a licensed professional.
Our plan has two stages:
- A network of verified, licensed professionals, starting with those who review our pages through the expert review program
- Later, a way for readers to contact them
Neither stage is live yet. Today the site does not collect leads, run forms or accept payments. We will publish the terms before anything opens.
Who can join
We will only accept professionals who are allowed to give immigration advice in their country:

In the US, notaries public and form preparers are not allowed to give immigration advice, so they cannot join. Unlicensed "immigration agents" in any country cannot join.
What we will require
- Proof of license: your regulator, license or registration number, and the name on the register
- Good standing: we will check your status on the official public register before listing you, and recheck it regularly
- Discipline check: we will check public discipline records where regulators publish them, including the US Justice Department's list of currently disciplined practitioners
- Honest profiles: no guarantees of results, no misleading claims, and practice areas you actually handle
- Compliance with your own rules: you remain responsible for following your regulator's rules on advertising, fees and client relationships
How reader connections will work (planned)
When we add a way for readers to contact professionals:
- Any referral arrangements will follow the professional-conduct rules of the relevant bars, law societies and the CICC. Some regulators restrict referral fees, and we will design the program around those rules.
- Any arrangement will be disclosed to readers where they make the choice to get in touch.
- Readers will choose whether to contact a professional. We will not sell reader data.
- Membership in the network will never change our editorial content or status labels.
We will update our privacy policy, terms and affiliate disclosure before this goes live.
How to register your interest
Email contact@northamericans.com with the subject line Professional network. Please include:
- Your name as it appears on your regulator's register
- Where you are licensed, your regulator and your license number
- The immigration areas you practice (for example, employment-based visas, family sponsorship, residency)
- The languages you work in
We will verify your license on the public register before taking any next step. Registering interest does not commit you or us to anything.
Frequently asked questions
Is the professional network open now?
Not yet. We are collecting expressions of interest from licensed professionals and will publish the terms before the network opens.
Does it cost anything to join?
The terms, including any fees, will be published before the network opens. Any referral arrangements will follow the conduct rules of the relevant bars, law societies and the CICC, and will be disclosed.
Can a notary public or form preparer join?
No. In the US, notaries public and form preparers are not allowed to give immigration advice. We will only accept attorneys in the US, lawyers and RCICs in Canada, and licensed lawyers in Mexico.
How will you check my license?
On the official public register: your state bar, your law society, the CICC public register, or the SEP cédula profesional registry. We will also check public discipline records.
Will joining the network affect what you write about my practice area?
No. Network membership never changes our editorial content, and status labels are never for sale.
