Today there is no advertising on NorthAmericans.com. We do not run display ads, sell sponsored articles or paid links, use affiliate links, or place advertising cookies. The site is free to read and has no paid placement of any kind.

We may offer sponsorships later to help fund the site. If we do, these rules will apply:

• Clear labels. Every sponsored item will be labeled as sponsored, where you see it, in plain words.
• Separate from editorial pages. Sponsors will not write, review or approve our editorial content.
• No influence. Sponsors will have no say over the facts we publish, which programs we cover, or how we describe them.
• Status labels are never for sale. Labels such as Open, Paused, Closed and In court come only from official sources and court records.
• No paid rankings. We will not sell a place in a list, ranking or comparison.
• Privacy first. If sponsorships ever required cookies or other tracking, we would update our privacy policy before starting and ask for consent where the law requires it.

We will update this page and our editorial policy before any sponsorship goes live.

Our readers are often targets of immigration fraud. We will not accept advertising or sponsorship from:

• Anyone who promises or "guarantees" a visa, job, approval or faster processing
• Anyone selling job offers or Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs), or charging workers recruitment fees where the law bans them
• Unlicensed advisors offering immigration advice, including US "notarios" (see notario fraud)
• Look-alike websites that copy government services and charge extra fees
• Any provider of a regulated service who cannot show a license in good standing

We plan to build a network of licensed immigration professionals, and later a way for readers to contact them. That network is separate from advertising. Any referral arrangements will follow the professional-conduct rules of the relevant bars, law societies and the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC), and will be disclosed.
