NL Express Entry Skilled WorkerThe NLPNP Express Entry Skilled Worker category is Newfoundland and Labrador's stream for people in the federal Express Entry pool. You need a full-time job offer in a TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 occupation from an eligible NL employer and at least 67 points on the province's assessment grid. A nomination adds 600 points to your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which almost always leads to an invitation to apply for permanent residence.NL Graduate EntrepreneurThe NLPNP International Graduate Entrepreneur category is for graduates of Memorial University or College of the North Atlantic who have started or bought a business in Newfoundland and Labrador and have run it for at least one full year. You need a valid post-graduation work permit (PGWP), at least 33.3% ownership, one full-time job created for a Canadian or permanent resident, and CLB 7 in English or French.NL International EntrepreneurThe NLPNP International Entrepreneur category is for experienced business owners and senior managers who want to start or buy a business in Newfoundland and Labrador and run it themselves. You need at least C$600,000 in transferable assets, must invest at least C$200,000 (or C$1 million in equity), and must operate the business for a full year on a work permit before the province can nominate you for permanent residence.NL International GraduateThe NLPNP International Graduate category helps international graduates who hold a post-graduation work permit (PGWP) settle permanently in Newfoundland and Labrador. You need a full-time job offer from an eligible NL employer in a TEER 0 to 3 occupation, or an in-demand TEER 4 occupation, usually related to your field of study. Graduates of schools outside NL must first work in the province for a year.NL Skilled WorkerThe NLPNP Skilled Worker category is for people with a full-time job or job offer from an eligible employer in Newfoundland and Labrador, in an occupation at any TEER level. You submit an Expression of Interest, and if the province invites you, you have 60 days to apply. A nomination lets you apply to the federal government for permanent residence.Priority Skills NLPriority Skills NL was a Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) category linked to federal Express Entry that the province used to recruit candidates with skills in its priority occupations. As of September 2026 it is no longer listed among the NLPNP categories, so you cannot apply to it. Express Entry candidates should look at the NLPNP Express Entry Skilled Worker category, which requires an NL job offer, or at federal options.
