The US Department of State's monthly visa bulletin shows which green card applicants can move forward, based on their priority date, category and country of birth. This tracker shows the latest final action dates and dates for filing for family-sponsored and employment-based categories.

  • For November 2026, F2A numbers exempt from the per-country limit are authorized for priority dates earlier than 22APR26; numbers subject to the per-country limit for all countries except Mexico run from 22APR26 to before 22OCT26. All Mexico F2A numbers are exempt.
  • The November 2026 bulletin does not include a Diversity Visa section.

How the visa bulletin works

Congress limits how many green cards each category can use per year, and no country can use more than 7% of the total. When demand is higher than supply, a queue forms. Your place in line is your priority date (usually the date your petition or labor certification was filed). When the bulletin's date for your category and country is after your priority date, your case can move forward.

  • Final action dates: when a green card can actually be approved.
  • Dates for filing: when you can submit your application early.

Each month USCIS says which chart applies to adjustment of status inside the US. The National Visa Center uses the dates for filing chart to ask consular applicants for documents.

Frequently asked questions

What does "C" mean on the visa bulletin?

"C" means current: all priority dates qualify that month.

Why are India and China dates so far back?

Because of the 7% per-country limit, countries with very high demand wait longer in the same category.
