For adjustment of status inside the US this month, USCIS says to use the Final action dates chart for employment-based cases.

• F2A: numbers EXEMPT from the per-country limit are authorized for applicants from all countries with priority dates earlier than 22AUG25; numbers SUBJECT to the per-country limit for all countries except Mexico with priority dates from 22AUG25 to before 22AUG26. All Mexico F2A numbers are exempt.
• Allocations based on demand received by August 10th.
• FY2026 limits: family-sponsored 226,000; employment-based 186,317; per-country 28,862 (29,136 with carryover); dependent area 8,247 (8,325 with carryover). USCIS provided the required data to the Visa Office on July 24th.
• Section C: issuance rates decreased in FY2026 due to administration policies since January 2025 and limited/suspended post operations, so dates were advanced in recent months; retrogression may become necessary and categories may become 'Unavailable' before fiscal year end.
• Section E: EB-1 India may become unavailable in the coming weeks if India's pro-rated EB-1 limit is reached before the fiscal year ends.
• Section F: EB-2 final action date may retrogress or become unavailable before the end of the fiscal year.
• Section G: EB-5 Unreserved final action date may retrogress or become unavailable before the end of the fiscal year.
• Section H: FY2024 NDAA may affect U.S. Government employee Special Immigrant Visas (not SQ/SI Iraqi and Afghan SIVs).
• EB-3 Other Workers annual limit reduction for NACARA limited to 116 in FY2026.
• EB-2 India and EB-5 Unreserved India are 'U' (unavailable) on the Final Action Dates chart.
