PPR (Passport Request)
A PPR, or passport request, is a message from IRCC asking you to submit your passport (or a copy, or confirm details) so it can issue your permanent resident visa or Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR). It usually means your application is near final approval.
What to do
Follow the exact instructions in the message. People who need a visa to travel usually send their passport to a Visa Application Centre for the visa counterfoil. People who are visa-exempt or already in Canada are often asked to upload a copy or photo, or to use the online PR confirmation portal.
There is usually a deadline, often 30 days. A PPR is not a formal approval; IRCC can still ask for more information or refuse the application.
