It is for experienced business owners or senior managers who will invest in, own, and actively run a business in Yukon, and it can lead to Canadian permanent residence. Yukon's 2026 updates focused on its worker streams, so confirm directly with Yukon's business immigration office that it is taking applications before you spend money on a plan.Yukon Community PilotThe Yukon Community Pilot (YCP) was a Yukon Nominee Program pilot that let nominees live in a participating Yukon community and work for more than one local employer while they waited for permanent residence. It started in 2020, was extended in 2023, and ended as planned on June 30, 2025, after 42 successful nominations. If you want to immigrate to Yukon now, you need to use one of the regular Yukon Nominee Program streams or a federal program.Yukon Express EntryThe Yukon Express Entry stream lets a Yukon employer nominate a skilled foreign worker who is already in the federal Express Entry pool. A nomination adds 600 points to your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which almost always leads to an invitation to apply for permanent residence. You need a Yukon job offer, and in 2026 employers could only enter during two intake windows that have now closed.Yukon Skilled WorkerThe Yukon Skilled Worker stream lets a Yukon employer nominate a foreign worker for Canadian permanent residence when the job is a skilled occupation (NOC TEER 0 to 3) and no Canadian or permanent resident is available to fill it. It is employer-driven: you cannot apply on your own. In 2026, employers entered through a scored Expression of Interest (EOI) in two short windows, and both have now closed.
