Career Employment PathwayThe Career Employment Pathway (CEP) was part of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program's International Education Stream. It let recent graduates of Manitoba schools who had a job offer in an in-demand occupation apply for a provincial nomination. Manitoba closed it effective immediately on June 11, 2026, and now points most graduates to the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway once they have six months of work in the province.Entrepreneur PathwayThe Entrepreneur Pathway is part of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program's Business Investor Stream. It is for experienced business owners and senior managers who will start or buy a business in Manitoba and run it actively. You first come to Manitoba on a work permit and operate the business, and Manitoba nominates you for permanent residence once you meet the terms of your business agreement.Farm Investor PathwayThe Farm Investor Pathway is part of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program's Business Investor Stream. It is for experienced farm owners and operators who will buy or start a farm business in rural Manitoba and run it themselves. Manitoba sets minimum net worth and investment amounts, so confirm the current figures on the official MPNP site before you plan.Graduate Internship PathwayThe Graduate Internship Pathway (GIP) is part of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program's International Education Stream. It is for international students who complete a master's or doctoral degree in Manitoba and a Mitacs internship during their studies. Manitoba kept this pathway open when it closed the Career Employment Pathway on June 11, 2026.Skilled Worker in ManitobaSkilled Worker in Manitoba is the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) stream for foreign workers who already work for a Manitoba employer, or who are recruited directly by an approved Manitoba employer. It has two pathways: the Manitoba Work Experience Pathway and the Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway. A nomination lets you apply to the federal government for permanent residence.Skilled Worker OverseasSkilled Worker Overseas is the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) stream for skilled workers who live outside Manitoba, usually outside Canada, and have a strong connection to the province. It has two pathways: the Manitoba Express Entry Pathway and the Human Capital Pathway. Invitations in 2026 have been limited, so a close Manitoba tie or a direct invitation from Manitoba matters most.Student Entrepreneur PilotThe International Student Entrepreneur Pilot (ISEP) is a small Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program pilot for international graduates of Manitoba post-secondary schools who want to start or take over a business in the province. It sits in the International Education Stream. Its intake status was not confirmed as of September 2026, so check the official MPNP site before you plan around it.Temporary Resident Retention PilotThe Temporary Resident Retention Pilot (TRRP) is an employer-led Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program pilot that helps Manitoba employers keep foreign workers who already work for them on a work permit. The employer applies first, and approved employers can then refer eligible workers to the MPNP. Since February 4, 2026, the pilot no longer accepts hospitality and food services applications, and 16 skilled trades were added.
