How to read processing times
Processing times are historical: they show how long it took to finish 80% of applications recently, not a promise for yours. The clock starts when IRCC receives a complete application and ends when it makes a decision. Biometrics and medical exams can add time.

Why is my application taking longer than the posted time?
Incomplete applications, background checks, requests for more documents and high volumes can all add time.
Where do I find Express Entry or spousal sponsorship times?
IRCC lists them on its online processing times tool. Check it for your specific application type.
