NB Business ImmigrationThe New Brunswick Business Immigration stream is the province's route to permanent residence for experienced business owners and senior managers who want to start or buy a business in New Brunswick. You need a personal net worth of at least $500,000 ($300,000 for agriculture), a plan to invest at least $150,000 and create one full-time job, and you must run the business yourself. You come on a work permit first and are nominated only after the business has operated for six months.NB Critical Worker PilotThe New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot is a five-year, employer-driven pilot within the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP). It helps a limited group of participating employers recruit and keep workers for jobs that are hard to fill. You cannot apply to it on your own: you must first accept a job offer from a participating employer, which then supports your application.NB Entrepreneurial streamThe New Brunswick Entrepreneurial stream was the province's former business immigration route for foreign entrepreneurs. It is closed to new applicants and has been replaced by the New Brunswick Business Immigration stream. If you want to start or buy a business in New Brunswick in 2026, you apply under the new stream, which has different money, job and language rules.NB Express EntryThe New Brunswick Express Entry stream lets New Brunswick nominate skilled workers who already have a profile in Canada's federal Express Entry pool. A nomination adds 600 points to your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which usually leads to an invitation to apply for permanent residence. It has two pathways: Employment in New Brunswick and New Brunswick Interest.NB Private College Graduate PilotThe New Brunswick Private Career College Graduate Pilot is a provincial nominee pathway for international students who graduate from selected programs at participating private career colleges in New Brunswick and are not eligible for a federal post-graduation work permit. It launched in September 2022 as a 3-year pilot and now runs in a limited capacity until the end of 2027, mainly for students who were already registered in eligible programs. You need CLB 5, a related full-time job offer and must act within 90 days of finishing your program.NB Skilled WorkerThe New Brunswick Skilled Worker stream is part of the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP). It is for foreign workers who already work in New Brunswick or have a full-time, non-seasonal job offer from an eligible New Brunswick employer. It has three pathways (New Brunswick Experience, New Brunswick Graduates and New Brunswick Priority Occupations), and as of September 2026 some sectors and jobs are restricted.NB Strategic InitiativeThe New Brunswick Strategic Initiative is a provincial nominee stream for French-speaking people who want to live and work in New Brunswick, Canada's only officially bilingual province. You need at least NCLC 5 in French in all four skills and 65 out of 100 points on the province's grid. It has three pathways: Francophone Workers in New Brunswick, New Brunswick Francophone Priorities and Francophones Working Remotely in New Brunswick.
